Overview
Haberdashers’ Adams,previously Adams’ Grammar School (AGS), is a selective state grammar school with Academy status for day pupils and boarders, located in the market town of Newport, Shropshire. The school welcomes boys aged 11–18 as day boys or boarders and girls aged 16–18 as day girls in the Sixth Form. There is no charge for education and boarders pay only for the provision associated with boarding. Over 860 pupils attend Haberdashers’ Adams, including 330 who are part of the co-educational Sixth Form (70 of them girls). Around 100 of the students are boarders.
