Altrincham Grammar School for Girls

Overview

Altrincham Grammar School for Girls is an 11–18 wholly-selective Academy grammar school. It has approximately 1,250 pupils on roll, including 300 in the Sixth Form. AGGS is proud to be part of the Bright Futures Educational Trust. Being part of the Trust provides a wide range of opportunities for staff and students to work with schools across the Bright Futures network. AGGS was one of the first schools in the country to be designated a National Teaching School and is a lead school in a number of subjects, including mathematics, science and modern foreign languages.
