Overview

Queen Mary’s High School is an all-female selective education and grammar school that is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (The Mercian Trust). It is is close to Walsall town centre and as a selective girls’ school, draws its students from a very wide area including Walsall, Birmingham, Sandwell, Wolverhampton and Staffordshire. There are over 750 students on roll, with an intake of 120 in Year 7 and a Sixth Form of around 200, including a small number of boys. The school is heavily oversubscribed, with nearly 800 applicants for places in Year 7 each year.
