Qualified Teachers of Maths and English

Leaders are Readers is expanding! There are immediate vacancies for passionate and gifted fully-qualified teachers, as well as energetic, talented, highly intelligent professional graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree. Graduates must have respected professional qualifications in their fields as well as a university degree. They also must already have extensive experience of teaching.  

You will be required to teach maths and English to children aged between 5 and 12 years.  All materials and resources are supplied by us. Tutors will undergo training and then shadow an existing teacher before they start in their role. The hours are 8.30am - 1.30pm.

Degree Educated Tutors

We are also looking for degree level staff to deliver our reading programmes. Here, we use a phonics based method that involves games and worksheets to effectively teach non-readers regardless of their age or ability. It is imperative that each candidate can demonstrate first class communication skills, including a very high standard of clear spoken English and also excellent presentation skills.

All lesson plans, teaching programme, materials and resources are provided by us. Tutors on our Reading Programme undergo intensive training and then shadow an existing teacher before they start in their role. The work is term time only for 37 weeks of the year on Saturdays from 8.30am - 1.30pm.
