Summer School 2021

Summer School will be in its 14th year!

The Leaders are Readers Summer School is run at all of our centres and online. It is attended by children from all over the world.  With students in attendance from all over the world, places are on a first-come, first-served basis.  Early booking is advised.

Aims of Summer School

• Cover a year's essential work in 3 weeks  
• Fill in learning gaps
• Prepare children on advanced topics to enable them to zoom ahead when they return to school in September
• 11+ intensive course covering ALL topics in readiness for entrance exams which candidates now sit as soon as they start Year 6 in September. 
• 7+, 5+ and 4+ exam candidates get ready for entrance assessments looming up in the Autumn or Spring Terms.
• Reverse the trend of summer learning loss.  Statistics show that children lose as much as a term’s knowledge in Maths and in reading skills over the 6- or 7-week summer holidays.
• Your children should ‘hit the ground running’ when they return to school.
• Provide 15 to 20 minutes a day of outdoor fun and activities including football, tag, hoopla hoops, climbing frames, obstacle course.
• It is study camp - yet fun!

Courses

All our courses are available for ages 3 up to 12 years in:

• Reading Programme
• Year 1 - Year 5 Maths and English Programme including Creative Writing Workshop
• 7+ Preparation Programme comprehensively covering Maths and English 
• 11+ Revision Programme intensively covering Maths, English, CEM and Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
