Overview

Handsworth Grammar School (HGS) is a selective school that admits boys from the age of 11 and both boys and girls who wish to join the Sixth Form. The School educates students from all over Birmingham and beyond, with a significant proportion living within three miles, thereby helping to maintain a strong community aspect. The school has 1,000 pupils, with 150 boys in each year from 7–11 and 250 boys and girls in the Sixth Form.
