Overview

Colchester County High School for Girls is a selective girls’ grammar school with Academy status in Colchester, Essex. The school has over 800 pupils in the school, over 200 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The school was last inspected in 2009 and was graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The school was one of the first Science Specialist Schools in the country. It later became a Specialist Modern Language school too, teaching French, German and Spanish, as well as Latin.
