What does your child struggle with?
Summer School 2012
The Leaders are Readers Summer School is attended by children from all over the world. We regularly have students attend from Dubai, US and Nigeria. Places are on a first-come, first-served basis. Early booking is advised.
Aims of Summer School
- Cover a whole term’s work in 15 days (at the Stanmore site) or 14 days (at the Enfield site).
- Fill in any learning gaps
- Prepare children on advanced topics to enable them zoom ahead when they return to school in September
- Prepare 11+, 7+, 5+ and 4+ exam candidates for entrance assessments looming up in the Autumn or Spring Terms.
- Reverse the trend of summer learning loss. Statistics show that children lose as much as a term’s knowledge in Maths and in reading skills over the 6- or 7-week summer holidays.
- Your children should ‘hit the ground running’ when they return to school.
- Provide 15 to 20 minutes a day of outdoor fun and activities including football, tag, hoola hoops, climbing frames, obstacle course.
- It is study camp - yet fun!
